The DX-8522 is a professional flammability testing instrument designed for solid materials and foamed plastics with an apparent density of ≥250 kg/m³. It evaluates both flammability and penetration resistance using the 500W flame test method, fully complying with international standards including GB/T 5169.17 (5VA/5VB), IEC 60695-11-20, UL94 5VA/5VB, ASTM D 5048, and ISO 10351.
The tester uses two specimen shapes: long rectangular bars for assessing burning characteristics, and square plates for penetration resistance. It features a 500W burner with adjustable flame dimensions (125mm outer, 40mm inner), a 0.75m³ enclosed black test chamber, a 20° combustion angle, and a 0-99.9s adjustable timer, ensuring accurate and repeatable test results.
Application Scope
This tester is suitable for solid materials and foamed plastics with an apparent density of 250 kg/m³ or higher. It requires two types of test specimens to characterize material properties:
- Long rectangular specimens are used to evaluate material flammability and burning time.
- Square specimens are used to assess material penetration resistance.
